Collapsing and expanding sections

2 min read

Focus on what matters by collapsing sections in Workly. Hide tasks in sections you’re not working on to reduce visual clutter.

Collapse a section

Click the arrow next to the section name to collapse it. The section header stays visible, showing the section name and task count, but the individual tasks are hidden.

Expand a section

Click the arrow again to expand the section and reveal all its tasks.

Collapse all / Expand all

Use the project toolbar to collapse or expand all sections at once — helpful when you have many sections and want a high-level overview.

Task count badge

Each collapsed section shows a task count badge so you know how many tasks are inside without expanding it.

Drag to collapsed sections

You can drag tasks to a collapsed section. Drop the task on the collapsed section header and it will be added to the beginning of that section.
