Making group video calls

Hold team video conferences directly from Workly group chats. Group video calls support multiple participants with video tiles, screen sharing, and recording.

Start a group video call

  1. Open a group chat
  2. Click the video camera icon in the chat header
  3. All group members receive an incoming call notification
  4. Members accept or decline individually

Video grid

As participants join with their cameras on, their video feeds appear in a grid layout. The grid adjusts automatically based on the number of participants. The active speaker is highlighted so you always know who is talking.

Call controls

  • Camera toggle — Turn video on or off
  • Microphone toggle — Mute or unmute
  • Screen share — Share your screen with everyone
  • Device selector — Choose camera, mic, and speaker
  • Recording — Record the group call
  • Participant roster — See who’s on the call
  • End call — Leave the video call

Invite more people during the call

While a group call is active, you can send additional invitations to bring in more participants. The invite is sent as a message in the group chat with a join link.

Recording group calls

Click the record button to capture the group video call. The recording is available for download after the call ends — typically within a few minutes.
