Onboarding and initial setup

2 min read

When you first sign up for Workly, the onboarding wizard guides you through setting up your workspace in a few simple steps.

Onboarding steps

1. Create your workspace

Give your workspace a name and description. This is the space where your team will collaborate.

2. Invite team members

Enter the email addresses of people you want to invite. You can add multiple people at once. They’ll receive email invitations to join your workspace.

3. Connect integrations

Connect your Google services during setup:

  • Google Gmail — Access emails inside Workly
  • Google Drive — Attach Drive files to tasks and chat
  • Google Calendar — Sync meetings with your calendar

You can skip this step and connect integrations later from the Agents page.

4. Enable notifications

Allow browser notifications to stay informed about messages, task updates, and mentions. You can customise notification preferences later.

5. Join existing workspaces

If your organisation already has workspaces, you can browse and join public workspaces during onboarding.

After onboarding

Once setup is complete, you’re taken to your dashboard. From here you can:

  • Create your first project
  • Start a chat conversation
  • Schedule a meeting
  • Explore AI agents
