Screen sharing

Share your screen during any meeting to present slides, demonstrate features, or collaborate on documents.

  1. Click the Share Screen button in the meeting controls
  2. Choose what to share: entire screen, a specific window, or a browser tab
  3. Click Share

Other participants see your shared content in real time. Click Stop Sharing when you’re done.

Meeting recording

Record meetings to review later or share with team members who couldn’t attend.

  1. Click the Record button during the meeting
  2. A recording indicator shows that the meeting is being recorded
  3. Click Stop Recording to end the recording

After the meeting, the recording is saved and accessible from the Meetings page. Team members who were invited can access the recording.

Meeting controls

During a meeting, the control bar provides:

  • Microphone — Mute or unmute your audio
  • Camera — Turn your video on or off
  • Screen share — Share your screen
  • Record — Start or stop recording
  • Chat — Send text messages to participants during the call
  • Participants — View who’s in the meeting
  • Leave — Exit the meeting

Public meeting links

Invite people outside your workspace by sharing a public meeting link. External participants can join directly from their browser without creating a Workly account. This is useful for client meetings, partner calls, or interviews.

Meeting chat

Send text messages during a video call using the in-meeting chat. This is useful for sharing links, notes, or questions without interrupting the speaker.

Tips for better meetings

  • Test your audio and video before joining important meetings
  • Use screen sharing to present visual content rather than describing it verbally
  • Record meetings that include important decisions so the team can reference them later
  • Use the meeting chat for sharing links and notes during the call
