Share Drive items in Workly with the right people, project teams, or your whole workspace — with View or Edit permissions.
Open the Share dialog
- Select the file or folder
- Click Share in the toolbar (or in the selection action bar)
The Share dialog has four tabs: User, Project, Workspace, and Link. This article covers the first three. (Public links are covered in a separate article.)
Share with specific users
- Open the User tab
- Search for a teammate by name
- Choose a permission — View (read-only) or Edit
- Click Share
Share with a project
- Open the Project tab
- Pick the project
- Choose View or Edit
- Click Share
Everyone on that project gets the chosen access automatically.
Share with the whole workspace
- Open the Workspace tab
- Choose View or Edit
- Click Share
Everyone in your Workly workspace can now access the item.
Change permissions or unshare
Owners can update existing shares. Open the Share dialog, change a person’s level (View ↔ Edit), or click the delete icon next to a share to remove it. Non-owners see a read-only “Sharing info” view.

How do I share a file with a teammate?
