Deleted Drive items aren’t gone right away. They go to Trash in Workly, where you can restore them — or permanently remove them when you’re sure.
Delete an item
- Select the file or folder (owners only can delete)
- Click Delete in the selection action bar
The item moves to Trash and disappears from the main view.
Open the Trash view
Open the Trash quick view from Drive’s left navigation. It lists everything you have moved to Trash.
Restore items from Trash
- Open Trash
- Select the items you want to recover
- Click Restore
Restored items return to their original location.
Permanently delete
To remove an item with no possibility of recovery:
- Select it inside Trash
- Click Permanent delete
Or, to clear everything in Trash at once:
- Open Trash
- Click Empty Trash
Permanent deletion cannot be undone. The activity log keeps a record of the deletion, but the file itself is gone.
What happens to shared items
Items in Trash retain their sharing settings. Once you restore them, every share continues to work. Once permanently deleted, all shares are removed along with the file.
